I thought 'The Legacy' was an interesting take on family relationships and bonds. The opening particularly first caught my attention as it was written in third person narrative following the story line of Rachel. The reason I enjoyed this was it, in a way, let me make my own judgement on the kind of relationships the family had formed with one another and the sort of characters they were, without directly learning about their own day to day life.

The story itself was beautiful in a way that it reminded me, and i'm sure many other readers, that despite the sadness in losing a member of a family, it can sometimes be beneficial in bringing those that are left closer together. This book is one that allows the reader to reflect and review some of their own life decisions as well as appreciate all that we do have. It is a reminder that sometimes assets aren't always the important thing in life and rather sharing the love of those around us.
