Lots to unpack and very cleverly observed human characters

Interesting read this one as I thought Megan may end up being a bitter mistress fighting with her step children over the inheritance. I liked how all of the characters were very different and yet similar in behaviours. Jonathan’s last wish was interesting that they should decide how to share the money and typically it ended up becoming a bitter wrangling of egos and opinions. Death often does not bring out the best in others but I was pleased that the author was able to show that despite this they did manage to come to a suitable conclusion. It’s interesting how people view their own life and death when they are dying and Jonathan was clearly a man that liked control and also liked to teach life lessons along with his wishes. Lisa was an interesting addition to this story and there could easily be a sequel involving Megan or the families lives post Jonathan’s legacy. A good read easy to get into and a surprising end to the story as well. I would recommend
