I chose this book as the cover looked like something that I would be drawn to if I were in a book shop. Upon reading the First Impression the story gets off to a good start, with the first few chapters being gripping. A story of sibling rivalry after the death of their father. An easy to follow plot and narrative. Unfortunately I found that the plot was quite slow in places making it a bit of a struggle to keep going.
The plot centres around 3 very different siblings in the aftermath of their father’s death and I really liked the short chapters and writing style.
I particularly liked the character of Megan but found that the other characters could have been further developed in some depth.
I had really looked forward to reading this after such a good start and the great reviews that it has received. Unfortunately however, this one wasn’t for me.
