A "brilliantly plotted thriller", you say... sounds promising. In fact, it sounds right up my street. With crime being perhaps the biggest genre of our day, its becoming hard to tell the good stuff from the mediocre, but already this seems like it could be one hell of a ride, and I would definitely love to read the rest.
