This book definitely checks all the boxes for a successful thriller, it had suspense, mystery and characters you can't help but relate with. I really enjoyed the jumping around between perspectives and the past and present as it helped add to the overall mystery of the story. Sometimes however it felt like little bits of the book were repeated as you jumped between the timeline which is one of the main reasons I dropped half a star off my overall rating.

I found the book extremely gripping and fast paced and devoured it within 24 hours. I definitely did not see the events from the last chapter coming and had to pick my jaw up off the floor after reading it. I will certainly be picking up Catherine Ryan Howard's other novel 'Distress Signals' after enjoying this one so much and will be keeping an eye out for any future releases from her.
