I loved the writing style of Catherine Ryan Howard in The Liar's Girl. The chapters take us from a 'then' and 'now' time perspective that gives the reader the chance to get a clear picture of what took place and the reason for Alison's reluctance to face the reality of the situation she's asked to help with.

The excellent descriptive writing transports the reader in to the 2 passages of time and creates a sense of excitement...I wanted to find out more about Liz as something didn't sit right with her from the start!! I could genuinely feel the depth of despair that Alison felt about revisiting her past.

A thrilling climax at the end of the book - that ties up any loose ends with a great twist!
