I was gripped from start to finish with this book. There’s a really good plot line - Alison was the girlfriend at college of Will; several girls are murdered at the college during that time; Will is arrested for the murders and is serving a life sentence, although he’s spent the first ten years in a psychiatric facility.

Alison leaves Ireland to escape her past and moves to Holland where she builds a new life. Ten years later two Irish police officers turn up at her home and inform her that the killings have started again. Obviously Will can’t be responsible this time as he’s still incarcerated but the police have spoken to him and he’s said he has information but will only tell Alison. Reluctantly she agrees to go back to Dublin to speak to Will, and thus the groundwork is laid for this excellent thriller to progress.

It’s a smashing book, well plotted and well written. I’ve never read this author’s work before but I certainly will now.
