The Liar's Girl is a real page-turner. It's cleverly conceived and sustains suspense throughout. A smattering of humor lightens the mood.
The story alternates between the past and present as we follow Alison in the present day being asked for help by speaking with Will who says he has information but he'll only talk to her, and then flashbacks to the past when we see how moving to Dublin with her best friend Liz was an exciting time for them.
Jealousy played quite a big part of the last few days of Liz's life, and I think it's safe to say that this fact has haunted Alison ever since - unsurprisingly.
The Liar's Girl is gripping and entertaining. It's a satisfying read. I expect plenty more to follow.
