This book had everything! Intrigue, murder, mystery and a thrilling conclusion. I do not normally pick up this genre, so for me it was something new. The story starts with a bang, setting up the plot straight away. A young girl's body washes up in a local city canal, triggering a murder investigation. The dual perspective to the story was interesting, but also allowed you to immerse yourself into different aspects of the plot. I also found it interesting that you were in the mind of the victim at the start. I think this is a great starting book for someone who has not really picked up the thriller genre before. The writing style was easy to follow, yet the pace was quick and hooked you in from the first chapter. 4 stars.
