I have to read this story to find out what happens to Biddy Weir. The author had my interest right from the start. Intrigue is swiftly followed by heartfelt empathy for this young woman’s experience of the world and those that people it.
I liked the quick pace of the writing style which drew you in and invited you to stay and find out what became of Bridget’s outing of her bullies. Anyone who is in her position, or has been there in the past, will be praying for a positive outcome.
Negativity has a damaging impact on your psyche and takes a long time to come to terms with. A difficult subject to write about but an even harder one to endure. I’m hoping that the end of the book will hold a happy ending, or at least a healing and acceptance of what was in the past can stay there if you make it so.
