Well I just want to read on! The opening chapter sets an unusual scene and you wonder just what Joyce is like, how did she become this jaded mother she appears to be. The juxtaposition of this with Ruby, the help's chapter and discovery of a crime scene and then Detective Mike makes this appear a fast paced read. I can't wait to know more about what happened to Joyce.
