At the beginning I was reminded of The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I would have liked the feminist revolution to be ingrained in the writing, it would have been interesting. As it stands, I’m quite unsure of the themes in this book. The American Dream certainly is one, but it’s not painted in a tragic or pitying slant...
