The cover is bright and cheerful but I probably wouldn't have picked this book off the shelf in the bookshop - it's not my usual genre- but I was prepared to give it a go as the blurb did look interesting. However, I just wasn't gripped when I read through the first look. It's fine and if there wasn't much choice I could read it but it didn't pull me in and I didn't feel an immediate connection with the character.
