Firstly the cover is stunning - the bright colours, the picture of perfect domesticity. But then the description of the plot is at total odds with the beautiful sunshine-filled kitchen. This immediately intrigues me. I absolutely love anything set in the 50s and 60s - what could be better than a family mystery set in California during these times??!!
