The yellow and blue/green colours work well together which helps bring my attention to the book. The red writing stands out and makes it clear what the title is. There are a lot of random things going on in the background like the smashed plate, the overflowing pot, the knife stabbed into the chopping board, this makes me want to read the book and find out what is going on.
