The long, long afternoon was an amazing book. I really enjoyed reading this and found it hard to put down and kept finding myself saying just a few more pages before bed... Every page that I read I just needed to know what was going to happen next.
The story is set in the 1950s and as well as the thrilling story there is also the backdrop of the changes taking place in the 1950s which was nice and made it feel even more real and showed the progression that has been made since then.
As well as the story, the illustration on the front cover and the hardback copy of this book is beautiful! So beautiful that I have put it on my coffee table, it is just a lovely front cover!
It really is a brilliant book and would recommend to anyone, it is full of unanswered questions, have you second-guessing your thoughts and has many twists and turns throughout the entire book!
