Wow. I was a little unsure at first due to the time period it’s set in as I’m uncomfortable with how racism was back then but that feeling soon faded!
I couldn’t put this book down, it was pretty fast paced so I didn’t get bored like I do with some books, you jump straight into some action. The plot was great, seamless story telling. I didn’t hit points where I was getting confused or things didn’t add up.
There were some plot twists that I did not see coming and I was rather shocked although I was slightly disappointed that I figured out who’d done it pretty early in due to that character’s behaviour, I’m not sure if the Author did that on purpose or whether I’ve watched too many murder documentaries and read inbetween the lines?!
Overall I loved it and would probably read it again, some of the characters you’ll completely adore and will be absolutely be cheering Ruby on!
