The Long, Long Afternoon was a big hit for me. There wasn't really anything I didn't love about this book. I couldn't wait to pick it up each night. The twists and turns kept me engaged and engrossed throughout. I found myself rooting for Ruby from the very beginning. The way this book is written makes you really connect with the characters. The storyline is interesting and gripping throughout and there were no points at which I felt the story was dragging or being drawn out unnecessarily. I found myself staying up later and later each night, desperate to find out where we were going next and what was going to happen. I must admit, I was very surprised to find out who the perpetrator was at the end. The way the story was so well written meant that it was kept a mystery until the very final chapters. Highly recommend this very entertaining read.
