I was first introduced to the wonderful writing of Elizabeth Gifford by ReadersFirst, when I received a copy of The Good Doctor of Warsaw (which I will treasure forever).

If The Lost Lights of St Kilda is written in the same beautiful prose used in The Good Doctor of Warsaw, I'm certain the reader will be taken on a journey which highlights the atrocities of WW2, interwoven with a story of love that powers the human spirit to overcome horrors that no human being should ever have had to endure.

The memories of the beautiful island of St Kilda and Chrissie, who Fred Lawson loved whilst he lived there, give him the strength to endure the barbarity of being a prisoner of war. The reader will learn of his subsequent escape to be with the woman he loves.
