This promises to be a very interesting book.
I was not previously aware of the history of St Kilda and what a hard and primitive life the inhabitants lived less than a hundred years ago.
The writing is beautifully descriptive although I was a bit put off by the detailed maps at the start of the book as I never like to interrupt my reading to keep referring to maps or family trees.
I look forward to reading the rest of the book and learning about what happened to Fred and Rachel and the rest of the close community on St Kilda.
