I like the cover and the perspective from which the book has been written. I thought the extract felt quite poignant but I'm not an avid reader of historical fiction so I don't know whether this book would hold my interest over time. The synopsis seems to suggest that this book is about a romance between the two main characters, so perhaps it crosses into romantic fiction as well as historical fiction. Question is, will it end well or will hearts get broken?
