It's a really good opening, a strong start to what I feel could be a really interesting read. This is a book I'd pick up in a store, a love a good historical novel and this really does fit the bill. The story seems intriguing, some books you can sort of guess where its heading right away, but this one hasn't revealed too much and I like that.
