I'm not normally a reader of historical fiction and I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this book when I started the first impression, but I found myself to be really interested. For starters, I'm always drawn in by books that require maps at the start. For another thing, I found the writing style to be captivating. I don't know if the plot is something I'd normally enjoy but I could definitely see this book being gripping right to the end.
