This was a really brilliant book, the style of writing kept you hooked throughout to the very end. From the very begining this was a very interesting and compelling and descriptive story that wanted me to keep on reading.

It starts in 1927 on the island of St Kilda and goes to 1940 with Fred imprisoned in a prisoner of war camp with thoughts of the woman of the one he loved and is determined that he will find his way back to her.

This is an engaging plot with human courage and measuring of the cost of betrayal. It is a slowy emerging love story that has you gripped to the very end.

I would defnately recommend this book to anyone who likes to read and you wont be disappointed and you will enjoy it as much as I have done.
