I was intrigued by the title and simple cover, then when I started reading the first chapters I was instantly hooked and wanted to know more. I loved that you're quickly drawn into the middle of the action within the story and then it switches back and forwards in time, gradually revealing more of the narrative. Sarah and Eddie were relatable characters who I quickly empathised with, so I am interested to find out what really happened to Eddie and why he didn't call.
I also liked that the disappearance of Eddie, while the central story, wasn't the only plot line in the book. I'm intrigued to find out about Tommy's childhood and Sarah's sister.
Overall this book seems right up my street! I was instantly hooked and flew through the first few chapters and was disappointed when the extract ended. I can't wait to finish the story!
