Eddie and Sarah spend a wonderful week together and make plans to meet again in a week, except that he never calls. For the first few chapters I found Sarah's character a bit annoying but she grew on me over the course of the book. I liked how this was written, some flashback chapters, some letters and newspaper clippings. I thought I had figured out how it would play out on more than one occasion only to find that I had things confused.

This is an easy to read book and has a mix of sad and more uplifting themes. After a few chapters I was invested in the story and very keen to see what would happen next. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys something with a bit more oomph than typical chick-lit but not so heavy that it can't be enjoyed on the beach or for some escapism.
