Imagine you meet a man, spend six glorious days together, and fall in love. And it’s mutual: you’ve never been so certain of anything. So when he leaves for a long-booked holiday and promises to call from the airport, you have no cause to doubt him. But he doesn’t call. Your friends tell you to forget him, but you know they're wrong: something must have happened; there must be a reason for his silence. What do you do when you finally discover you're right? That there is a reason -- and that reason is the one thing you didn't share with each other? - As soon as I read the blurb of this book, I was intrigued however, it is the total definition of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ as although the cover is a little plain, the book itself is anything but! I struggled to get into the book at first but once I was a quarter of a way through, I couldn’t put it down. I am normally quite good at sussing out the plots but there was no way I could have predicted the outcome of this book! I loved the characters and the humour that come with them. The author has very carefully linked everything together as the story untangles. I loved how relatable the storyline was as nearly all of us have experienced some sort of ‘ghosting’ so it helped us to relate and sympathise with the main character. It also touched on some delicate topics such as grief and mental illness and I applaud the author on how beautifully this was written.

After a slow start, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend that those who come across it give it a read!
