I stayed up until 1am to finish this book last night, I have seen so many 5 star reviews and every one is absolutely in love with this book. Let me start by saying this isn’t a bad review I enjoyed this book I just didn’t love it as much as I hoped I would.

The chapters are all written in different time periods for example, the day that Sarah met Eddie, 15 days after they met etc. I didn’t mind this I jut wish there were more chapters during the 7 days that Sarah and Eddie are together to really feel their instant chemistry and a bit more detail on how and why they fell in love so quickly, unfortunately that part fell a little flat for me.

The first part of the book I was hooked, I needed to know why Eddie wasn’t talking to Sarah and felt awful for her, could totally feel her frustrations. But then it just got a little silly and unbelievable for me and had me questioning whether or not the twist was that Sarah had an unhealthy obsession (probably read too many thrillers).

I must say I didn’t see the big twist coming, I thought I had it all figured out but no! I thought that part was very well done and I was genuinely shocked at the reveal. This made it different from your usual romantic chic-lit.

But then again the story diverted an the last 100 pages or so I really struggled through, I thought there was jut some repetition and going over the same things.

All in all though I did enjoy the book, I just think after reading the Flatshare and One Day in December I was expecting a little more and wishing that there was chapters dedicated to seeing glimpses of their seven days together, cause I’m all about that smushy falling in love writing.

My personal rating for this is 3.5/5, I recommend to anyone who is a lover of this genre 😊
