This is a book with love and loss at its core with an unexpected twist towards the end. I must admit it took my quite a while to get really hooked into it, as I didn't take to the main character, but about half-way though the writing began to hook me in.
I wasn't sure what to expect, it seemed a light-hearted rom-com style initially, but it's definitely not and there's a lot of emotional depth.
The 'he didn't call back' relates to Eddie, who after seven great days with Sarah walked away and never called her. The story is told from Sarah's perspective and we really get pulled into her confusion about what happened to Eddie.
