What a triumph this book is. I was dubious, as a total thriller junkie, I get nervous about more lighthearted books about love, life, and friendship, especially if a murder isn’t involved, but this book has converted me.

Sarah meets and falls in love with Eddie. A passionate and unforgettable week long affair ensues, but then, he never calls.

I think most people can relate to that feeling of being head over heels into someone for it then just to vanish, and your sanity along with it. You imagine every possible and impossible scenario, and I could feel myself nodding along as I read about Sarah’s feelings of confusion, loss, and sometimes betrayal.

But what I hadn’t expected with this book was the twists and turns, and moments where I felt I knew where it was going, and then to be blindsided with another amazing plot twist.

I loved the characters, I loved the humour, I loved the ending, I just loved this book and that was maybe the biggest surprise of all.
