I didn’t love this book but I didn’t hate it.
It took me a while to get into it as I found Sarah to be one of the most irritating characters I’ve read at points I wished I could take her from the book and shake her.
I did not expect the twist in the story to be what it was, this really did take me by surprise and you can fully understand why Eddie didn’t respond and ‘dropped off the face of the earth’
I did enjoy when Eddie starts to tell his side of the story, that had me a little more gripped as it was interesting to read a little more of his background and around his relationship with his mum.
While for me it was a bit of a meh book as I feel on the fence about it, it certainly hasn’t put me off any of the authors future work.
