The first thing to grab my attention about this book was the title “The man that didn’t call”. Such an ironic title in a generation that is ruled by social media and consequently ghosting. I was excited to read this book as I thought that it would be both funny and relatable.
Overall I found it a nice and easy light read. Chic lit isn’t my favourite genre so for me to score anything in this genre high then it needs to be stand out.
I thought Sarah the main character was ok she was fairly relatable however from time to time she did verge on being annoying which lost any sympathy I may have originally felt towards her. I did find the whole concept of falling in love so quickly a bit ridiculous however as far as a light read for a bit of escapism goes it was ok.
