Sarah meets Eddie, seemingly the perfect guy, in a field in Gloucestershire. They spend an idyllic week together and then he goes off on a pre-booked holiday. Then he goes AWOL. It seems he has disappeared into thin air. The days stretch on and Sarah wonders what she has done wrong. She feels empty, and hurt, and betrayed. Her friends try to convince her he wants nothing more to do with her but she is determined to find out why he left her life so suddenly.

Part love story, part thriller, the author takes us back to Sarah's younger years and an event that changed her life. Some chapters are told in e-mails, other letters and there are different parts of the book dealing with both the main characters that keep the reader guessing throughout. A brilliant twist occurs which will have you gasping out loud!

The characters are engaging, likeable and this is an easy read because it's a page turner. It's a tale of love of different kinds, and loss, and healing, and, ultimately, hope. It's absolutely delightful. I loved it!
