Our main character, Sarah, a recent divorcee is spending summer at her family home. She meets Eddie on one of her walks in the countryside and they spend an amazing week together. Then he never calls her back. Despite Sarah's friends trying to reassure her that he's probably just a typical bloke who's had what he wanted and is now ghosting her, Sarah feels deep down something isn't right and is trying to find out what happened. I was thoroughly engaged throughout up until the big reveal and enjoyed trying to figure out what happened alongside out main character. The last part of the book after the big reveal was a bit boring in my opinion and so I've deducted 1 star. I've not read many mystery novels but this one kept me captivating up until the moment when all is made clear.
