The concept behind this story really drew me in, I'd say as a twenty-something year old, the whole theme of meeting someone then never receiving a phone call felt like a very modern dating problem. But then I learned that the main character was in her late 30s and to me, that just didn't fit.
Obviously the MC, Sarah, meets a guy and spends a week with him, but then he never calls her as he promised to do. Now, I was intrigued by the idea of Sarah discovering what had befallen this mysterious guy but there was so much desperation on Sarah's part that it was off putting.
I found majority of the book to be quite boring, initially I was invested in the outcome of Sarah's search for her missing man but I soon lost interest.
Now a great read for me unfortunately.
