The story follows a woman who has spent seven amazing days with a man she has just met, but since parting ways for his holiday he had planned, no contact has been made by him. The main character in the story is sure there is more of a reason why than he just didn’t call and doesn’t want to give up on her chance of love. The story really makes you feel for the characters in the story with some laugh out loud moments along the way.

As a keen reader I often finish a book within a day or two if the story manages to get me hooked. This book however kept finding itself back on my book shelf whilst I read another book. HOWEVER I will also say that once I hit a point that the story did grip me, I enjoyed the rest of the book, and it certainly pulled and my emotions as the story progressed finding myself not wanting to put the book down until I knew what had happened.
Perhaps The fault of me initially struggling with this book was no fault of the story, and I maybe wasn’t in “a chick lit mood” so I will be giving other books by this author another try in the future, as I found her writing comfortable and easy to read.
