We follow the story of Sarah and Eddie, two hopeless individuals who just happen to fall in love. After spending 7 beautiful days together, they just know that’s it’s meant to be. With Eddie heading off on holiday and Sarah back to the USA they promise to message each other once they have settled and start to plan the rest of their life together. However, everything isn’t as it seems and once Eddie has jetted off on holiday he never calls Sarah back, no matter how many times she tries. She’s determined something bad has happened to him and won’t stop till she’s found out the truth.

It is so refreshing to find an author who describes a scene as beautifully as Rosie Walsh. This was the first thing that drew me into this book. Nothing is written in one simple sentence. Oh no, it’s stretched out and described so deeply that I could feel/see/smell/hear everything that the characters did.

I went into this book thinking it was going to be a Boy meets Girl, they fall in love and then the Boy cheats on her. But, I was so wrong. I wasn’t prepared for the twist that Rosie pulls towards the end of the book, it had me literally go ‘😱’. There’s nothing I love more in a book then romance and suspense, and this book definitely ticked those boxes! I loved the suspense of finding out what happened to Eddie and then how the relationship went from there.

the friendship in this book is phenomenal. I wish I had friends like Sarah’s.

Last thing, Rosie touched on mental health a fair bit in regards to Eddies mum and she couldn’t have done it any better. From having experience living with someone who has anxiety/bipolar/ agoraphobia , she couldn’t have explained it more perfectly. Some of the scenes which include Eddies mum are so true and close to home, I was thinking ‘have I written this?’ 😂😂

This book is truly wonderful and I will definitely be reading it again.
