Aimed at a younger audience, but has a USP
My first impression of this book was initially that it is aimed at Older Children/YA audience.
The writing wasn't too complex, was well-sized and spaced, and read as quite an easy read.
However it also did a very good job of world-building in just the opening few pages, introducing societal tensions and unique classes of magic.
Do I think this will become the next big thing like Harry Potter? No.
Do I think that The Marvellors has the potential to be an enjoyable, easy-going magical book that anyone can enjoy? Yes quite possibly.
