The marvellous was enjoyable from the instant I picked it up. I did however find the book a little slow to begin with but the writings soon picked up and we found this book unbelievably entertaining. I enjoyed the background of the characters and how in depth the descriptions were. The characters you could imagine being someone you knew. I enjoyed reading this with my 10 year old children and seeing the looks on the faces when something caught them off guard. The book is well written with lots of surprises to go along with it.
The main characters are funny and clever and really easy to compare yourself to.
