The story reminds me of Harry Potter as it very Potterish
The story line is one of a magic world.Ella a conjurer is chosen to go to a magic academy.The Arcanum a school in the clouds.Not everybody is happy about Ella attending but she overcomes all that.
The characters are diverse and this comes across in the book.
The story line is one of friendship,good versus evil.
I felt that the author should of researched her crafts,as things written were confusing.
There was lots of new words to learn and there meaning conjure companions, starfolk, automats, photo-balloons, bell-blimps, , coppers, saints, star messengers, starfruit, milk dragons, pocket doors and rotties.I was sometimes losing track of what was what.A glossary is needed really.
I would not say that the story is a page turner but readable with a good story.
