The Marvellers is the story of eleven-year-old Ella Durand, who joins the Arcanum Training Institute as a student. This institute is a school of magic, and Ella is the first conjurer to join. Ella finds it difficult and struggles because of a few changes in the laws, and she also seems to have issues with the other students. Sadly, the other kids, other than Brigit and Jason, don't gel well with Ella. Ella becomes close friends with Brigit and Jason. However, things don't go well for Ella, there are accusations against her about a few things and also her Elixir teacher and mentor, Masterji Thakur cannot be found anywhere. Ella, Brigit and Jason take it upon themselves to find their teacher who is now missing, and they all together also decide to clear all the accusations that have been made against Ella.
This book is well-written, the storyline is interesting and engaging, and all the characters are lovely. This is a wonderful start to a good series. A nice and fun read.
