Very intriguing and a little dark...
This book has plenty of promise and really drew me in! The cover itself is striking and I’m very intrigued as to what’s happened to the poor victim – there’s some seriously intense imagery here and I couldn’t stop reading! This sounds like it’s going to be a great detective novel with some serious grit – no wishy washy plot or vague descriptions here! I really like the dual narratives, one which seems to flick back to Germany in WW2 (a time I find particularly fascinating) and one which stays in the current day, describing the investigation. I immediately warmed to Charlie Priest and he seems like a great protagonist which I definitely would like to read more about.
