Claustrophobic and creepy opening with huge potential for a suspenseful read!

I was really captivated by the strong FI and unusual premise that has unlimited potential for a brilliantly tense read. The setting is ominous, Ailsa and Carrie seems like hugely different characters giving potential for a exploration of their relationship and I am eager to know how the story progresses.

My only concern is that Lexie Elliott’s debut, The French Girl, opened strongly with a superb premise and then fizzled out and left me disappointed overall.
