My First impression of the book actually made me think of the classic The Secret Garden, but with a thriller twist. The bright pink bold font really catches your attention against the dark background, and really draws you in before you even notice the silhouettes; a person watching a woman?

The synopsis concludes the silhouettes on the cover, 'she can't escape the claustrophobic feeling that the house itself is watching her' it's not quite the house but perhaps a person? Then reading onto 'first nighttime intruder' gives an eery feeling and further questions.

With the questions of who, what, how many intruders and why, I also wonder how the relationship with the half-sister will fair and what happened when her father left. This is a book I would very much pick up and enjoy, from cover to synopsis. Excited!
