I hadn't read Lexie Elliott's first book but was intrigued by this cover and description. Alisa Calder’s mother has died and left her the Manse in the Scottish Highlands. Alisa had no idea her mother still owned it and even more baffling she only left Alisa half. The other half belongs to her father who disappeared 27 years ago and she has no idea how to find him or even if he is still alive. Having a house that she can't sell, she invites her younger sister to come to stay with her while she tries to figure out how to proceed.
