This was a bit like wading through glue, took too long for the main bulk of the story to find it's legs, and then an onslaught of action in the last 2 chapters!
It really felt like Lexie Elliott was clutching at straws when writing this story, and to be fair she mentions in the acknowledgments at the end, that due to the deadline for the second book, she was very stressed!

Now for a little about the story:

Ailsa Calder has returned to Scotland to sort out the Manse; an old mansion, with a lot of secrets, left to her by her late Mother. Unfortunately for Ailsa, she can't sell the property as she only owns half of it. The other half her estranged father owns, and he has been missing for the last 27 years!
Ailsa has to decide whether she wants to stay or try and find a way to sell the property. However the Manse has ideas of it's own....
