Set in the Scottish Higlands it follows Ailsa who has inherited half of a house. The Manse. The house itself becomes a character of it's own within this book. The other half of the Manse belongs to Alisa's father who disappeared without a trace 27 years before.
Alisa leaves London after inheriting the house to up and move into the Manse with her half sister Carrie. Odd things begin to happen within the house while Alisa settles in to the new village and begins a new life whilst trying to distinguish what happened to her father. You will be kept hanging with suspense.
A very cleverly written gothic and thrilling read. Percent for anyone who is a fan of psychological thrillers. This book had an extra edge to it forcing me to give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5. It deserves nothing less.
