Good
This book takes a while to get into but I would recommend pushing through the first 2-4 chapters because it truly does grip you. I'm unsure as to why the first few chapters seem to read so slow. For me, it wasn't a must read in one go kinda book but it was enjoyable and the writing style was almost gothic and very atmospheric. This isn't a book that I would reread personally, although I don't normally reread this genre unless it completely blows me away. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to read another book by Lexie Elliott but I also wouldn't avoid it.
The highlight of this novel is the cover art for me, it made me want to read more whenever I saw it on my bedside table.
Although all opinions are my own, I would like to thank Corvus and Readers First for sending me an advanced copy.
