A good story once it got going. This didn’t grip me at first but I stuck with it and was well rewarded with an atmospheric story and the mystery of who dun it.
I knew who it wasn’t going to be because the writers never pick the obvious characters out but this did surprise me somewhat.
What annoyed me however was the American influence in the story.
In the world of measures metre is spelt like that not meter. That’s a gas meter!!
And tyre is spelt like that. Not tire. That’s when you’re ready for bed!!
I am very proud of British culture and heritage and can see this being eroded all the time.
Reading the notes on the author she seems to be British so I see no reason for all this. Unless of course the book is written for the larger American market and we are just a bit of extra for her.
However except for these annoying bits I did enjoy the book.
