I really loved this book... and have to admit that I read it in one sitting....
Set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, we follow the story of Aisla Calder, who on the death of her mother, returns with her half-sister Chloe to house where she grew up... the very house from which her father, a jeweller, disappeared 27 years ago during a diamond buying trip, never to be seen again.
When strange things start happening in the house, it appears that someone (or something) doesn't want Aisla there.... Thrust into a close knit community, where everyone seems to know everyone, Aisla is forced to confront her past and the mystery of what happened to her father.
Full of twists and turns, this was a real page turner which had me hooked right from the word go. It was chilling, haunting and really atmospheric, and a read that will definitely stay with me for a long time!
